Elgin, IL reminder: Final vote on BSL, March 10
March 8, 2010 3 Comments
Elgin city council will take a final vote on BSL on March 10. Council meetings take place at 6 p.m. and are held at the Centre’s Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL.
The last vote by city council will likely be a formality, unless someone changes their mind.
Please continue to send persuasive, intelligent correspondence to council members, and please remember to thank the three council members who voted against the ordinance (noted below).

Just hope that the people of Elgin go into this meeting with a strategy and not just “My pitbull would not hurt a fly.”
My view is that the decent human beings must consult a legal man on how Prigge can be removed from his position, and arrive at the meeting with a letter from such lawyer, advising such action is being taken………………………………………………………..etc.etc.The importance is that these letters are served prior to the meeting and if the letter has a bit of muscle one could find an interesting swing in this 4-3 vote.Surely they can find a lawyer that is an animal-lover.
G-D save the poor animals.

The ordinance has passed without BSL. More details to come. Thanks to Julia for her amazingly fast updates.
Maybe a few letters on the various websites calling for the servants of the people to be removed from positions of power also has a little impact rather than the old “punish the deed not the breed” comments which does not seem to interest the politicos too much.
