Still unclear whether the proposed changes will include a repeal on UK’s current breed bans, or whether more breeds will be added to the list. From the article:

But some local authorities and the Association of Chief Police Officers believe that the proscribed list of dogs should be extended to include all bull breed types, including Staffordshire bull terriers and the Japanese akita.

(Since when did the Akita become remotely related to a “bull breed type”?)
